I promised that I will make a baby blanket and a pacifier clip for my beloved little Nuonuo. It is getting close to spring, so I finally have it done before it is too warm to use it!
His mom told me that Nuonuo kicks and stretch, even under the blanket. So his little feet are always outside the blanket. So I desided to make a blanket with the pocket. When he was put into the pocket, he won’t be able to kick the blanket off. The pocket is large enough, so he won’t feel tied up too. He will be warm and happy!
I choose one piece flannel and one piece of baby print fleece. The fleece is longer than the flannel, and the extra part will be fold back as the pocket. I hemmed one side of the fleece so when the pocket is made, the edge will be nice and clean. Just remember, we will sew two pieces right side together, and the pocket will be in between these two layers when you are sewing. So make sure when it is turned inside out, the pocket hem will be at the unvisible side.
(I always make a small tiny dummy to make sure everything will be alright before I get to the real one.)

Fold the pocket in between the layers before sewing, and don’t forget to pin around!
Leave the opening to turn the inside out!
Wala!
Look at what I made for the pacifier clip!
